Hi,
My SQL Server is agent is not running sometimes in one of the servers. The SQL server agent is running under windows domain account & have all permissions. It is running in "Automatic Mode" only.So some of the jobs are not running. So, I want a method to notify when SQL Server Agent stopped? Please let me know how can I do this? And also. in the SQL Server Error log its giving the below error. Please let me know how can I solve the issue?
" [165] ODBC Error: 0, Driver's SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed [SQLSTATE IM004]
[382] Logon to server '(local)' failed (DisableAgentXPs)
[098] SQLServerAgent terminated (normally)"
Thanks In Advance...
Thanks

i think you'll want to use a monitoring software package that tests the server and the services that exist on it; you can't relaly expect the server to monitor itself to say that it went down or not....
I know Steve has mentioned he had liked WhatsUp! as a monitoring package, but I have not used it myself.
