  I am using Excel Source component in my dataflow task.The excel conncetion string and sheet name loads dynamcally.I am executing the package form .net web application.From the application the excel sheet location and sheet name setting in the package variable.The package executes fine with the default excel sheet which i have specified in the vaiable initially.

  When I select new excel file it throws the below exception

  Failed to retrieve long data for column "RiskName".

  I have tried to increase the regedit entry for jet.but no luck.If i open the package in the BID and go to Excel source -advanceeditor-component properties.The External colum datatype and column datatype are different.so if i change the column datatype as same as external column datatype it works fine.But whenever i select new excel file i coluld not open the Package each time and do the same thing since it is executing outside the BID.

  How can i resolve the problem.Is there any way to access the Excel source column properties from an application and match the external metadata column and outputcolumn datatype?If it is diffenrent make the necessary change before execute?
