Are the server and client on different SP levels.

Hi.
I am trying to learn more about SQL and it's a developer server, every thing is installed and running on Windows XP Pro.
Thanks

How are you editing it? Did you open it in BIDS? IF you did, only BIDS can then edit it.
If not, then you might have some corruption with the install. This should be simple, create via wizard, edit in designer.
Can you create a new plan in the designer?

Hi Steve
As long as I know we can edit in BIDS just Integration Services and Report Models and Analysis Services, anyway what I am doing is : I use “Maintenance Plan Wizard” or “New Maintenance Plan ” to create or design a new one then I execute it and it’s running good , no problem, when I want to edit it, I right_click on Maintenance plan and I select Modify, it shows me that error.
Thanks

I was having the same issue. Found a resolution here (see sqldoc's comments):

If that doesn't work, double check server and client tool versions. Sometimes those cause issues of they are different.
