    This appears to more of an advertisement than an article. There are some down sides to oursourcing the DBA function and those are not mentioned.

    I agree with you about this being a one-sided article, but can you state some of the down sides yourself?

    Steve Jones mentioned some of them in the previous post. Others have to do with loss of control over sensitive data, reliance on an outside agency for critical processes.
