No longer receiving emails from SSC about topic replies

  • As of a week or so ago, I no longer receive emails from SSC when a topic of mine receives a reply. I have been using the site for quite awhile and never had any problems up until a couple weeks ago.

My "Topic Subscription Notification Type" is set to Immediate Notification of New Posts by Email.

Outside of it being caught in my exchange spam folder, any other thoughts on this?

  • Strange,

I show two sends at these times:

    2008-07-23 12:00:06.633

    2008-07-23 12:18:03.960

One from the testing tools thread, the other the affinity thread.

  • Do you see one for your reply? I never got an email that you replied to this one ... This is odd.

  • I get my topic replies but very rarely get the daily email or database weekly. I even changed email addresses to see if it was a problem on my side but apparently not.

  • Yeah that's a good point, I no longer get the daily email either ...

  • I show emails sent for the last few replies here.

My guess is things are getting filtered on your end.

  • I'm getting everything, notifications and the daily. Any changes to your email software such as new filters added by network admin (without anyone's knowledge)??

-- You can't be late until you show up.

  • Just talked to my email guys and they say nothing is getting caught in our filters from sqlservercentral.com.

    Argh, what the hell!

  • Ha, I am the admin!

No, they aren't being filtered in any way, and this is across 2 emails with different providers. Sometimes I get the daily email, sometimes (including today) I don't.

  • Ok, just went into my account settings and went to change email. Left it the same, hit ok, and it says it sent me an email ... didn't get that either.

Steve, or whoever runs the forum here ... can you (if you have a minute) try sending me an email from the forum? I'd really like to resolve this as my posting has slowed down quite a bit as I don't know when I'm getting responses.

    Thanks

  • Just changed it to my Gmail account and worked like a champ, definitely an issue on my side, awesome.
