Sending mail using xp_smtp_sendmail

  Hi All,

  I am using xp_smtp_sendmail to send email from DTS SQL SERVER 2000.

  If i gave a invalid recipient it should bounce back a email to the sender. Is it possible?

  While executing the stored procedure it the giving

  Error: Sending Message

  Server Response: 550 Mailbox unavailable.

  But the stored procedure return 1 when there is an error. How to capture the above error and based on this i have to send an notification email for the invalid recipient.

  Pls help me.
