IBM has received recognition from Gartner of their increased ability to execute in the Data Quality
Tools market, in particular with the latest releases of IBM Information Server, WebSphere
QualityStage and WebSphere Information Analyzer. IBM's strengths cited included our ability to
deliver solutions, significant improvements and harmonization of user interfaces, as well as
recognition of IBM Information Server's unmatched platform offering. IBM continues to lead the
dimension of "Completeness of Vision."
In a report, Gartner outlines the characteristics and criteria defining this market and how
IBM has recognized that data quality is a critical element for any data integration and governance
initiatives. Included is a discussion of the significant growth that this market segment continues
to see, with increased interest and innovation in solutions for data profiling and analysis,
standardization, cleansing, matching, and data enrichment.
