SSIS Diagrams [exporting to other programs]

  • Can anyone give me any information on the DTS/SSIS diagrams as to where they stored and in what format.

I'm interested in interfacing them with Microsoft.Popfly to show graphically the state of a running DTS/SSIS package.

  • in sql 2000 --> go to entprise mgr --> select your server/database -->data transformation services -->local packages.

There u can find all of your dts then right click any of the package select design package. This will show the diagram of your DTS.

Similarly, in ssis all the package can be viewed as a diagram view in the data flow diagram mode.

  • I appreciate how to get to them.

Now is that graphic html, jpg or what and where is it stored?

  • I don't know where the layout definition is in DTS, but SSIS packages are completely portable and everything is in the .dtsx file.

The layout and postition of everything in the package is stored in the XML.
