According to everyone I know I "do something with computers?" for a living, so there you go.

  • Long lines are very difficult to read.

    Please wrap the lines.

  • That's because there is a long line (line 4) in a <pre> tag that shouldn't be.

  • Great introduction to this rather 'specific' matter! Thanks man

  • Analysis services is one of those areas of SQL Server that I have never investigated but have always wanted to.  Thanks for the intro article - very timely repost actually since our new software will have reports that will benefit greatly from what AS has to offer...  THANKS!

  • Below is my MDX query, can you please let me know how do you filter for previous day , week and month...

    SELECT

    {[Measures].[CDR To MTF],[Measures].[Packet Loss],[Measures].[WAN Availability]} ON 0,

    [Dim Site Name].[Dim Site Name].MEMBERS ON 1

    FROM

    [TIMPO - AHLTA Status Report]

  • Sometimes you read something and it just takes off in terms of comprehensibility (unlike what I am writing here). It happened to me with Brian Noyes book on Data Binding with Windows Forms 2.0 and Keith Henry has that same magic.

So thank you for a concise but comprehensive, and above all readable, introduction to this esoteric subject.
