Restore a Database with CDC Enabled

Hi there,

I am going to be looking at CDC in the near future and was wondering what version of SQL Server you are using to get this error.

Is there a way to tell a backup file includes CDC before you restore it? or do you have to fail the restore to know?

You have to remember to execute the stored procedures that will create the capture and cleanup jobs as well.

Is there anyway of restoring and removing CDC? I was thinking you probably wont need to keep it if you are restoring to a staging environment.
