    Hi,I don't think the 300,000.00 is dollars. I suspect it is 300,000 rupee with the employee being a junior and only having a couple of years experience. I would expect the majority of people will have supplied their own countries currency so it will be difficult to glean anything too meaningful from this set of results.

    Or you're looking at the annualized impact of the contracting rate for some of our more high-powered contributors. If you have the right specializations and a good customer base to sustain long-term contracts, it's not out of the question to command a rate that would yield that. VLDB tuning skills could easily command that kind of rate.Even if this IS an exchange rate issue - the currency would likely then be rubles, since the location is described as Moscow.

    As Mark mentions rupees I imagine he's looking at the 300000 something junior dba in Pune, India - so probably Rupees, not Rubles, for that one.  So about $4400.  (Rubles would be about $5000).
