Apologies for the stupid question -- where do I go to see if a SQL Server instance has an <i>existing</i> maintenance plan? Strangely, I haven't been able to find a good answer to this.

I don't need to know about maintenance plan settings or configs -- I just need to know whether it's there or not.

You can query sysmaintplan_plans in msdb.

Or in Object Explorer, go to Management then to Maintenance Plans.
