ColumnStore is another feature that has matured between 2012, 2014, and 2016. For example, only in 2016 do ColumnStore tables support primary keys.

i.e. The "ease of use" of a complete feature with very less hassle of e.g. Complex Key Management etc requirements. Rather than these features should be as easy as simple plug and play; Ideally!

I'd rather a completely functional feature that could be improved was delivered rather than wait for a completed feature (e.g. simplified or various advanced aspects added). This way multiple features exposing various functionality can be delivered in a release with further efforts targeting those features that prove to be the most widely used and/or valuable in subsequent releases.

The "half-baked" feature that always annoyed me was "[Partially] Contained Databases" when they came out in SQL2012. They always seem to be missing that one thing that would make them really useful - the ability to contain their own schedule of tasks. So many of the business systems I've worked with over the years have had requirements for regular processes, and the lack of this functionality can be a little frustrating.
