No report parts from others, either...I have a footer, but there's nothing in it yet (too busy building the body); I have a header, but again, it doesn't even go all the way across the body (because I shrank it a bit to see if it was overlapping unbeknownst to me). I do have a column group (first time I've worked with those), but even spread out to the max number of instances, the columns still don't go all the way across the body, never mind impede the margin on the right.

UPDATE

I removed the title altogether and moved the right side of the body over next to the group column. No more skipping pages. If I put the title back, it skips again - even though the width of the title is less than the available area. So obviously it has something to do with the column group co-opting space somehow. Well, I need a header and a footer on the report, so...any way to get them to co-exist and play nicely?

FOUND IT!!

Out there in Google Land - set the report property ConsumeContainerWhitespace (under Other) to TRUE (the default is False), and the madness will stop! Phew...tough one.
