Issues with report designer 2010 and SSRS 2012

  • Firstly, I apologize if this is an obvious question, but at my workplace, things like google, logging into MSDN forums to ask, stackoverflow, etc are blocked, and this is one of the few sites I can get onto. I am using SQL server data tools 2010, and SQL server/SSRS 2012. Whenever I go to design reports, I am unable to add additional datasets to a given report, and must create a blank report, add the dataset and then copy the dataset's code over to the main report. Is there some obvious method of adding datasets to the report that I am missing out on, or am I going to be doomed to continue with this tedious, slow method until we upgrade our version of SQL server data tools? Also, whenever I make changes to a dataset, I end up having to do a similar process to create a blank report and load the code from the blank report to the original to get the report to update on things like fields.
