Hi All,We have configured always on with 2 node cluster and both are in different network Zone. In Zone a Node 1 is available, in Zone B Node 2 and shared witness is available. Here we are performing DR activity and we are shutdown all the servers in ZONE B, while doing this operation our cluster is getting down due to that our primary replica went to resolving state.
Could you please help someone to identify the root cause for the same.
classic case scenario of how not to configure your Windows Server Failover Cluster. Do not put your witness resource on the DR site, it should be on a separate site or on the primary site (still not ideal).
Your cluster goes offline because you do not have enough votes online to produce quorum.
What operating system does the cluster nodes use.
