Linked Server From Sql 2012 to Sql 2012

    Hi all,

    I have two sql server one is my local machine server and other is residing on 192.168.10.161.

    I want to access tables from database which are on 192.168.10.161 server.

    I want to create linked server then how to create.

    I tried but getting an error.

    kindly give some help.

    What is the error you are getting?

    Are the servers on the same domain?

    Firewalls?

    Permissions?

    it was firewall issue.
