We are very tight on space on a production server, and it is going to stay that way 🙁
We recently instituted the Hallengren Maintenance solution on this SQL Instance.
Index maintenance hasn't been working well. Anyways, Last week, we experienced a PLE errors, Application Slowness, and the Indexing Job Failed after several hours.
After that we realized that the .mdf(data) file had grown by 77GB
Is there away to get the .mdf(data) file back down to the original size before this happened with out Shrinking?
I basically have 70GB of available but allocated space
