I guess I've had enough of this forum for this week.

You did fine and you're absolutely spot on. You've said what we're all thinking. Well, except maybe for me. I've not responded at all because I would not have been nearly as kind as you were. I have a very strong dislike for such JackHoles that rope a client in hook, line, and sinker and then they can't even spell SQL.

I admit it wasn't the most polite answer. I feel a lot better about having said it when I see people like Gail and Jason posting something that more or less backs up my comment. 🙂

Jeff, it wouldn't have been as fine if I had said what I was really thinking. 😎

It IS exasperating. Lot's of good people out there are busting a hump to learn the art and then some poser/faker destroys the trust in the art with their client or an interviewer. No need to pile on but here's another one. As you say, my response wouldn't have been fine if I said what I was really thinking. This fellow doesn't even know where to look for information on SQL Server but still applied for a job.

What a total waste of time for the interviewers. Pork chops are not enough for these people whether they believe themselves to be innocent or not.

Maybe we just need to post more LMGTFY type answer sometimes.
