I have SQL 2008 R2 Reporting Services installed on a SQL 2008 R2 server.
The Report Manager is on the same server.
When I remote to the SQL server and run report manager or report server all works fine.
We connect from our web server to the SQL server with SSRS installed on it via an internal IP address and that work just fine.
Now I want to connect Report Builder 3.0, that is installed on my desktop, to the instance of SSRS that I described above.
In Report Builder 3.0, in the lower left corner, there is a connect to server link.
I enter an external IP address and the port number for SSRS but it does not connect.
example http://<ipaddress:port/ReportServer
What do I need to do to connect?
