There is a feature "Automatic fail-over" in "Always on High Availability Group"Do we need another node (3rd node) for Automatic fail-over for AO HA Group ? or can we implement Automatic fail-over with 2 nodes ?
This is all covered in my stairway series.
Currently in sql server 2014, only 2 replicas may be configured for auto failover, a maximum of 3 replicas may be configured for synchronous commit mode.
Synchronous commit is required for auto failover.
