In my topology I have a replicated DB, upon which I have created two different publications, one containing all the tables and one all the views.
While I was creating the snapshot agent for the views-publication I wondered to myself if the agent will take a snapshot of only the articles contained in the pub and not the entire DB (including the tables).
I see that behind the scenes SQL runs the below which takes the publicationdb as an argument and had me worried that for just one view as article it will take a snapshot of the entire db and thus locking in the process the tables as well.

Can someone confirm the behavior of the snapshot agent for publications sharing a replicated DB?
