I wouldn't be. I'm glad that someone has the hair to say such a thing. I've had a lot of people give me the "because I'm a manager" or "because I'm important" reasoning and just won't do it if for no other reason other than to protect THEM for their own silly request. I even had one GM tell me that he'd fire me if I didn't give him the privs. My reply was "Thanks boss... I could use the vacation". I followed that up with the "Look... you hired me to protect the data. What you don't know is that I'm also devoted to protecting you. Tell me what you want to get done and I'll make it happen but it's in my job description to "effectively manage security" and that's what I'm doing now."
