• After you get your immediate requirements fulfilled, I'd recommend that you spend time practicing some restores. This should not be a one-time event. You should be able to do a full or PIT restore with confidence. In this case, having confidence means two things:

    1. You've done it before and you aren't looking up how to do it when you need it.

    2. You know your backups are good because you've tested them by doing periodic restoration of random databases.

    Instead of thinking of your backups as the goal, think of being able to restore from backup as the goal.
