use sql server client 2012 32 bit against sql server 2014 64 bit

  • can I use sql server client 2012 32 bit against sql server 2014 64 bit

  • I have never had any problems but I need to ask why you need to do that?

Secondly, backward compatibility is normally not too much of a problem but going forward can be. I would recommend testing very strongly before implementation in production.

Gosh... you must be asking because you have such a situation. Why don't you just try it???

As a bit of a sidebar, if you still have 32 bit machines, consider sanitizing them and donating them to charity!

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
