I am selecting DATABASE zone.....but your system will not allow me to select it because I'm asking a question? Makes no sense. So I checked other "zones". Very confusing.
My problem:
Access database somehow deleted; no knowledge of deleting it; not in recycle bin; don't have current backup; CAN I RECOVER THIS FROM HARDDRIVE SOMEHOW?

Deleted files can be recovered using an Undelete Utility - but only if they have not been overwritten. And that means you shouldn't be saving any files on the hard drive until you attempt to find it. Of course if it has been gone for several days, the probability of recovering it is much smaller. There are several available utilities, some free, some not. I have the most experience with the Norton Undelete utility, but I expect others work as well. The moral of the story is to make a daily backup of an Access database if you don't want to loose it.
