Using an Analysis Services cube as my data source
I have a Financial Year Hierarchy - Financial year to Financial Month which works well. My Attributes weren’t working properly and were showing multiple values even though they had the same key.
I couldn’t work out the problem so Ive set the Attributes to Invisible so I only use the hierarchy.
I have a top level Report Set to just Financial Year so
Financial Year Financial Month Total
2014 01 April44
2014 02 May56
Then I have set Financial Month to a drop down so you can drill through to the data for just April, May etc.
The Drill down has also been set up via that hierarchy but it doesn’t work. Every time I just get the error
An attempt was made to set a report parameter 'TimeStatementIssuedDateFinancialMonth' that is not defined in this report. (rsUnknownReportParameter)
Now I have tried so many things and I just cant get it to work. For example at the moment in the top level for the Text Box Property the name is TimeStatementIssuedDateFinancialMonth which connects to the value Financial Month in the top level table (Which is the attribute for that test box)
Still it doesn’t work.
Ive tried to set the paramter in the drill down by just ticking the Month, and then by ticking year and month in the drop down but neither changed the error.
Im at a loss which is a bit worrying as setting up drill downs is supposed to be easy. I could do it no problem from a relational database
