We have developed an on-demand report in SSRS 2012 having barcode, using a third party tool "Barcode Resource" to generate the same.
Customer is not willing to carry out any sort of installation at client server end, so the barcode is embedded in the report as an image.
We are facing issue with the file size while exporting the report into pdf format. The file size of a report of around 2500 pages with barcode, is 126 MB in SSRS.
The report of around 2500 pages takes approximately 70 sec to execute in the Report Server, whereas while exporting the report in pdf format it takes around 5 to 7 min.
Any assistance for optimizing the pdf extraction time in SSRS 2012 would be a great help to us.
