    Anyway - Back to the topic <img src='images/emotions/ermm.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Errmmm...' align='absmiddle'> I didn't see anywhere in the documentation that suggests a RAID5 array is worse for read performancethat a RAID1 array when it is fully operational. When degraded, then yes it is. Methinks the sample answer is wrong.

    I've read that the RAID1 reads faster because it can get it from one disk and it can be either one. Don't know in practice as I've never worked with one.
