He will be filthy rich but won't get into the HOF... I wonder what Yankee fans will do when he come to bat? Might it make a difference if he is hitting .210 or .310?

Speaking as a Yankee fan, I'm thinking he'll get booed his first few times up, but fans will largely be quiet when he comes up, unless he consistently fails to produce, in which case he'll be booed incessantly. So in that case, yes, what he's hitting will make a difference.

It's weird. I have no love for A-Rod, but I don't hate him, either. I actually feel sorry for him (strange as that might sound). I get the impression that he wants to do the right thing, but keeps making all the wrong decisions. And I'd probably feel that way about him, regardless of whether he played for the Yankees, Red Sox, East Cucumunga, etc. He doesn't seem like the Barry Bonds "me-against-the world" type; rather, he seems more like Daryl Strawberry -- a lost soul making bad decisions.
