Cannot see local disk after SQL upgrade

  • Hi All,

My customer's DBA has upgraded SQL server from 2012 to 2012 SP2. The server is 64Bit and a physical one (not VM). It has four local disks: C, D, E and L.

I used to work with D all the time for the backups and also objects / images I had to export / import into SQL.

Right after the update I still can see from server's My Computer C, D, E and L local disks, but from within the Studio I cannot see D, but C, E and L only.

I still have access to D and can browse and open all the folders I need (again, from My Computer, NOT MSSQL Studio).

Anything related I should know about SQL 2012 SP2 upgrade and am missing, please?

    Much obliged!.

  • SORTED: Security issue - whilst upgrading, for some reason, the DBA has removed the access rights. Sorted now.

    Thank you.
