Hi All,
My company is an Engineering firm with global presence.
Our company is implementing an application and wants users world wide to be able to use it.
We need to replicate data to three sites from the headquarters in London to AU, America and East Asia. We need two way replication so, we are using merge replication.
while setting this up in UAT, I had restored the database which has the replication articles to all the SQL instances.
After setting up the subscriber from AU to the publication, I see that the snapshot process is running for a long long time.
It took 4 hours to complete.
I would also like to confirm that there is no slow network issue, we have a very fast connectivity between the sites.
Even though I've restored the same database onto the other side, I would like to know why the snapshot is taking so long?
would really appreciate your help.
