    This kind of information is available in a tool called "Books Online". It's the "Help" system for SQL Server. With 2012, you have to either download it and install it or allow a web connection. It saves a whole lot of trips to forums (especially, the downloaded version when you use the "index").

    Further on Jeff's comment, to get context sensitive help, highlight the keyword/function/object name in SSMS query editor and press F1.
