Backup Database file to Network Location

  Hi All,

  We have a maintenance Plan on our production environment, which basically performs backup up on our Databases to a drive in the machine.

  Now, due to rapidly growing Database size, we have to shift Backup Store Location from Machine to a Storage drive offered by the IT Team. I.e. instead of Storing Backup file first on Machine and then move it to storage location, we want Maintenance Plan job directly to save backup file to Storage location.

  I see in Backup Database Task a Property for DestinationAutoFolderPath. Is this property can handle Storage Path location or there is any other approach.?

  Machine has all rights to access Storage Location.

  Will appreciate Quick Response from you guys.

  In Backup Database Task a property Folder set to Storage Location.

  The account under which SQL Server is running must have access to the Starage Location.
