I am new to CONNX and SSRS. CONNX is a SQL data access engine that provides real-time, read/write access to virtually any non-relational or relational data source, using open data access standards (ODBC, OLE DB, JDBC and .NET).

We are using CONNX to access mainframe data (vsam and flat files). CONNX allows the data to be put in a format that can be accessed by SSRS.
1) Do Ad Hoc Reports require SSRS Report Models?
2) Can Ad Hoc Reports run off of just sql statements?
3) Can we create SSRS Report Models off of the CONNX Driver and/or CONNX MetaData Model? (From what I understand SSRS Report Models can be created off of ODBC Drive.)
