[font="Comic Sans MS"]Hi all,
Today we faced I can't say a weird issue wherein the SQL hung up, and was completely freezed. I somehow got a connection from sqlcmd, as it seems it doesn't search for startup procs, and I was able to kill all the connections may be somewhere around 50+ . However, when I ran sp_who2 I am seeing a system spid 24 blocking other processes and to my notice I see it's says "task manager" and targeted on master db. It actually not running on a single thread but was using multiple spid's, but the state said that it was not doing anything and just sleeping. I don't see any wait times or disk io's either.
Now, since this is blocking other processes...how can I come out of it. I mean I know I can't kill system spids but is there a way to find out why is task manager even using multiple spid's.
Pls. help me out folks.
Regards,
Faisal
