report automation and design

  • have few monthly/weekly reports that I would like to automate them as much as possible. Please be specific in your recommendations/suggestions. Here is the environment and tools I have access to and current process: Environment and Tools: limited control over integration of these tools

    MS SQL2008 R2

    SQL Server Management Studio 2008 R2

    Excel 2010 and 2013

    Access 2010

    MS BIDS 2008 R2

    SharePoint 2013

    Current Process:

    Extract Data from SQL Server via SQL Script on a weekly/Monthly basis. Some of the monthly reports include more than 500K records. Raw data need to be included in all reports.

    Copy Data to Excel

    Create multiple Pivot Tables

    Create other Tables with SumiFs formula

    Create Charts

    Publish final reports on SharePoint

    Notify customers to grab their reports from SharePoint
