SSAS Upgrade from 2005-2012

  • Hello all,

Quick question... I am in the process of moving my 2005 SSAS cubes to 2012. From what I understand, 2012 has a tabular model now (currently researching this). What impact will this have on my 2005 cubes? From what I understand, the upgrade of cubes should be relatively straight forward.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The upgrade should be relatively straight forward, but you will be upgrading to the multidimensional model.

Tabular modeling is something completely different and if you want your existing cubes in Tabular, you'll need to redevelop them.

Need an answer? No, you need a question
