HI,recently we configured sql 2012 cluster. After installing ,i tried to check the failover from node to node.Form active node i stopped services but it is not getting fail over to passive node.
Can you please suggest me the process to test it.
Stopping the services on the active node does not initiate a failover. All service control should be done via the Failover Cluster Manager.
To move the sql group to another node open failover cluster manager and right click the group then select move. Either choose a node or select best possible.
What is it you are trying to achieve?
