I am enabling Service Broker on a mirrored database so am going to break the mirror before doing so. Another DBA advised me that if the mirrored database has AUTO_UPDATE_STATISTICS_ASYNC set to ON it would need to be set to OFF. I've done some research and cannot see why they would have advised this (the DBA in question is on holiday so I cannot ask).
I've run through the procedure on a development environment with AUTO_UPDATE_STATISTICS_ASYNC set to ON and have not seen any problems. Does anyone have any information or links they can send me about this?
