Database Mirroring

  • HI All,

In Production server, Principal database having 120GB log file(mirroring configured)

Why ldf file is taking that much space, How I can truncate log file.?

What is best way to shrink log file?

  • Do you have regular log backups running? If not, that's why the log is so large.

Thanks for u r quick reply , We are not taking log backups but we are taking week full backup.

There's your problem. If a database is in full recovery, and for mirroring it has to be in full recovery, you MUST take regular log backups or the log will grow until it fills the disk. Please read the two articles I referenced.
