Preview report without savings

  • Hi,

    I use SSRS 2008 R2 Developer.

I want to change a report and preview changes but then close without saving them.

The option "Save changes to open documents only" is not good.

    Thank you.

  • if you are not happy to just not save the report, then why not copy it first, then play with the copy?

  • I dont want to make another copy of the report only to test something small.

Someone else has a real solution to my problem ?

  • Any source control present?

I believe SSRS will build the report prior to rendering it in Visual Studio, so that's why changes might be persisted.

Anyway, every heard of the undo button?

  • You can undo when you go back to the Design tab.

Here is a post about how you can set it not to save. Next time try Google. This was the first link that came up.
