Report filter

  • Reaching to you regarding one technical help or suggestion. In some requirement , we are using report pre-filter as well as report parameter (post filter). There are some situations, where same parameters which will be shown in both pre and post filtering. Can you please validate following queries we have, I am taking an example to explain where there is a “District” drop down field present both in the pre filter screen and also in the reports screen as a parameter.

    •If you select 5 values for a drop down in pre filter screen (E.g. district), then the report is run for those 5 districts. Now, if district is also a field in report parameters, then is it possible to select any other district (other than the first 5 we selected) and run the report to get correct data for the other districts selected.

    oIf so, how?

    oIf not, why not? Any workaround?

    In case there is no workaround, is it still possible that in the District drop down field in report parameter, we show only 5 values (which were selected earlier) and not show the entire list of districts.
