Sebastian thank you for a great series of articles it really explains replication without tech-savvy vocabulary.

However, I'm having a problem. At least I think so, because I'm new in replication. 🙂

When I try to configure distribution for a database restored from *.bak file I can't do it.

It keeps telling me that database name used for distribution already exist.

Then, I dropped the database hoping this would help and it seemed it did, except that following the process described in

Stairway to SQL Server Replication: Level 1 - Introduction to SQL Server Replication

created my DB in system databases. :O

Why is that so, and what am I doing wrong?

Please help.
