Job Description
The company.
Our client is SQL Server technology specialist/consultancy based in Reading with revenues of £1.5m, growing rapidly. They are a Microsoft Gold partner. They provide architecture design, cloud solutions, complex upgrades, consolidation, high performance storage, performance tuning, storage virtualisation, outsourced SQL Server managed support.
The role.
Running architecture design workshops, designing robust implementation and migration plans, building high availability data platform solutions, delivering SQL Server health checks, resolving complex SQL Server performance issues, skills transfer through training and workshops.
Experience needed.
Ideally have worked as a Consultant for Microsoft, or a Microsoft partner.
Solid IT Infrastructure experience.
Design and implementation of solutions for high availability.
Excellent communication skills, time management and able to cope with pressure.
Technical lead in data platform projects.
Specialist background in one of the following:-
Mission critical transactional environments
Data warehouse design and implementation
Microsoft Business Intelligence
Sharepoint
Migrations from Oracle to SQL Server
