In our environment the end users are not Administrators, which makes loading this ActiveX control a big process.
I've noticed that various Cumulative Update's or a Server Pack will push us up to a new version of the Report Viewer Active X print control.
But even as I read through a list of what changes there are, I don't see something listed as "Update to Report Viewer ActiveX". I just see a red flag whenever Reporting Services is mentioned.
Would anyone happen to know what has to change in Reporting Services to trigger this upgrade? Is there anything else like an IE upgrade that will render the current control outdated and require a new ActiveX download?
It would just be really helpful if I would know precisely when these updates will be needed rather than one day getting hundreds of phone calls about reports not printing.
