open tranaction

  • can any one tell me what is an open transaction in detail.

  • A transaction that's been started (via BEGIN TRANSACTION or by running a data modification) that has not yet been committed or rolled back (via COMMIT TRANSACTION/ROLLBACK TRANSACTION or by the data modification completing if the transaction was started automatically)
