Hello,
I have a server running an instance of SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2012 (both standard editions).
The server has 2 CPUs with 12 cores. My question is that as SQL Server Standard Edition can only utilize 16 cores, is it worth me limiting the instances to only use a specific set of cores, or would it be better to leave alone?
I am running PerfMon to see the utilization of each core but would like people opinions (please).
Any advice would be most appreciated.
