Auto Update Statistics Asynchronously option

    Hi

    Does the option "Auto Update Statistics Asynchronously" work for update ,delete and insert statement or it is just used for select?

    I mean if I enable this option ,after update ,delete and insert would the statistics be updated?

    Also I have a nightly job that update statistics with full scan.

    That setting only specifies whether your queries will wait for stats to be compiled or will use stale stats.

    The setting to control auto update is "AUTO UPDATE STATISTICS". Auto update is only triggered by select statements once data modification thresholds have been reached.
