Potential risks in migrating SQL 2005 to 2008

    Hi,

    We are in the process to upgrade SQL server from 2005 to 2008. What are the potential risks I can face in the process? My database is pretty small(Just about 40GB) with no reports or DTS/SSIS packages.

    it is a free download of the upgrade advisor .. get it, run it and then if you have problems come on back and post your questions

    If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

    Are you going to do an upgrade in place.... stand up a new server with SQL2008? Depending on what path you take will make your back out if something goes wrong easy or very difficult.
